Frequently asked

The usual questions.

If your question isn't here, send us a note - we usually reply same day.

Booking & pricing

How far in advance should we book?

Summer Saturdays fill up about 6-10 weeks out. Off-season is usually open with 2-3 weeks notice. If a date is tight, we'll tell you straight.

How much does it cost?

One flat fee depending on guest count, event type & length, and location. Get an instant quote from our booking form - no payment required to see the number.

Do we need to pay upfront?

No. You can fill out the form, see your quote, and pick a date - we confirm everything by email before any payment is due.

What if we need to cancel or reschedule?

Reschedules are free up to 14 days before your event. Cancellations follow a standard refund schedule we'll send with your booking confirmation.

Flavours & menu

What flavours do you serve?

Our flavours rotate monthly. Hard ice cream - proper scoops, not soft serve. One dairy-free option is always on the menu, plus a kid-favourite. Custom flavours available with 4+ weeks notice for larger events.

Do you do soft serve?

No - Sweetie is hard ice cream only. Scooped, not swirled. The texture and quality just isn't the same with soft serve, so we don't do it.

What about allergies and dietary needs?

One dairy-free option is always on the menu. For other allergies or dietary needs, let us know in the booking form and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Are there toppings?

Not typically, but sprinkles and sauces can be included for an additional fee.

Logistics & venue

How much space does the truck need?

About 20×10 feet, on flat, hard ground. Grass works too if it's dry. We're pulling via a standard truck with Sweetie attached.

Do you travel outside the city?

Yes, most runs are up to 90 minutes from our Niagara base. A small travel fee applies past 30 miles - you'll see it in your quote. We have taken Sweetie for the event as far as Montreal.

What about power, water, weather?

The trailer is self-contained - no power or water needed for short events. We are an ice cream trailer that can operate in the sun, rain, and snow.

Are you insured?

Fully insured, with Certificate of Insurance (COI) provided on request for venues and corporate clients that need it.

How far in advance should we book?

Summer Saturdays fill up about 6–10 weeks out. Off-season is usually open with 2–3 weeks notice. If a date is tight, we'll tell you straight.

Can you park in my driveway.

Typically, no. Getting in and out with a truck and trailer can be difficult, and we also want to avoid the risk of any leaks or damage on your property. Please clear space for about four car lengths on the street before we arrive so we can park safely and complete the job efficiently.

On the day

How long do you serve for?

Standard service window is 90 minutes - long enough for everyone to come back for seconds (and thirds). Extend up to 4 hours for an extra fee.

How many staff come with the truck?

Typically, two trained staff per event - fast at moving the line, friendly with kids, easy to work with. For larger or multiple-day events, we will add additional team members.

What about cleanup?

We bring everything (bowls, spoons, napkins) and clear up our station before we leave. Your venue won't know we were there - except for the smiles and where your guests deposit their containers.
